With increasing demands for higher quality of life and increasingly stringent requirements for high-precision technology production environments, precise humidity control is required in various applications, including tobacco, pharmaceuticals, cultural relics, new energy vehicles, and communication equipment. The precise humidity management solution significantly improves product yield rates, consumer experience, and product lifecycle, while also saving significant energy consumption. Hengyuan Polymer is a national 863 project achievement transformation project, a national innovation fund, a Fudan University industry-university-research base, a national forestry administration science and technology achievement promotion project, and a national science and technology support plan project, holding 31 national/international patents and participating in the formulation of 2 industry standards and 6 enterprise standards.

2021 was a fruitful year for Hengyuan Polymer. Hengyuan Polymer, together with several units including the Shanghai Museum, jointly drafted the group standard for the cultural relics preservation industry, "Technical Requirements for Humidity Control Building Materials for the Preservation and Exhibition of Museum Collections," laying the foundation for seizing market opportunities in the "14th Five-Year Plan" for cultural relics preservation, where over 90% of museums require warehouse renovations. China's precious cultural relics deserve humidity control materials developed in China.

In 2021, Hengyuan Polymer obtained three more US invention patents. With the legalization of cannabis in the US and other countries, humidity control has become a rigid demand for the cultivation, production, packaging, and storage of tobacco products. Compared with domestic competitors in the US, Hengyuan Polymer's humidity control products have obvious differentiated advantages. After obtaining financing, the company will accelerate market expansion in this sub-sector.

In 2021, Hengyuan Polymer developed a service-oriented intelligent humidity management system. For warehouses, laboratories, and manufacturing workshops, IoT technology is used to detect humidity, and real-time monitoring, early warning, and control are performed in the cloud, which can save up to 80% of electricity for warehouses.

In 2021, Hengyuan Polymer introduced "lean production transformation based on talent cultivation" to prepare for explosive growth in the next three years.

Since the implementation of national environmental protection policies and the dual-carbon goals, various industries have been developing high-quality, thus increasing the number of industries requiring humidity control during product quality preservation. Moreover, the demand is not limited to the "packaging" stage but extends to various "micro-environments" in production and storage, upgrading the demand from "desiccants or humidity control agents in packaging" to "humidity management solutions in micro-environments".

In each sub-sector, Hengyuan Polymer will continue to conduct in-depth research and development, expanding from single-point management of "packaging humidity control" to full-process and full-cycle humidity management of the "micro-environment," with application scenarios extending from "packaging" to the internal space of equipment or products, workshops, warehouses, laboratories, and various relatively enclosed spaces such as transportation containers.
