There are currently three main types of desiccants used in the textile industry.

Which desiccants can be used for textiles such as clothing? Currently, there are three main types of desiccants in the industry suitable for textiles:
Silica gel desiccant --- The main component is silicon dioxide, made from purified natural minerals into granular or bead-like form. As a desiccant, its microporous structure (average 2A) has good affinity for water molecules. Silica gel is most suitable for humid environments at room temperature (20~32℃) and high humidity (60~90%), and it can reduce the relative humidity of the environment to about 40%.
Clay desiccant (montmorillonite) --- Gray small balls in appearance, most suitable for moisture absorption in environments below 50℃. When the temperature is above 50℃, the clay's "water release" is greater than its "water absorption". However, the advantage of clay is its low price.
Molecular sieve desiccant --- It is an artificially synthesized desiccant with strong adsorption capacity for water molecules. The pore size of the molecular sieve can be controlled by different processing methods. In addition to adsorbing water vapor, it can also adsorb other gases. It can still accommodate water molecules well at high temperatures above 230℃. Advantages: strong adaptability. Disadvantages: low moisture absorption rate, poor environmental protection (non-degradable).
