Shanghai Hengyuan Polymer Co., Ltd. was established in 2002, with Fudan University's Department of Polymer Science as a strong technical background, primarily engaged in the research and development, production, and sales of functional environmentally friendly adsorption materials.
Among them, the patented product "Environmentally Friendly Biodegradable Plant Fiber Desiccant" is a new type of desiccant independently developed by the company, possessing multiple authorized patents, and its technology has reached international advanced levels. This project received the Shanghai Innovation Fund in 2005, was recognized as a National Forestry Administration Scientific and Technological Achievement Promotion Project in 2006, and was identified as a High-Tech Achievement Transformation Project in 2007. Desiccants are small products with big uses. They are widely used in various moisture-proof fields such as medicine, food, biological reagents, electronics and electrical appliances, transportation, apparel leather, and daily necessities. The company's "Plant Fiber Desiccant" is the only product in the national desiccant industry that has obtained a green environmental protection mark.
In 2005, the company established a scientific management system, introduced the ISO9001 quality management system, implemented the quality policy of "people-oriented, quality-first, customer satisfaction as the goal, and continuous innovation," and gradually improved its management team, laying a solid foundation for the company's development.
From 2006 to present, the company, along with the Shanghai Museum, East China University of Science and Technology, and Nanjing Forestry University, jointly undertook the "National Science and Technology Support Program Project Task," specifically responsible for the "Research on High-Efficiency Fiber Humidity Control Boards for Museum Microenvironments (2006BAK20B01-4-2)." This product was successfully applied to the preservation of exhibits in some pavilions at the 2010 World Expo. In the "12th Five-Year Plan," it will also be further promoted and applied to 250 museums nationwide.
In June 2008, the company continued to upgrade its products, applying for the invention patent "Preparation Method and Equipment for Fiber Humidity Control Boards." In July of the same year, the "Environmentally Friendly High-Efficiency Non-Powered Fiber Humidity Control Material" simultaneously received both the National Innovation Fund and the Shanghai Innovation Fund.
In December 2008, the company successfully applied with the Department of Polymer Science at Fudan University for the National 863 Program "Research and Industrialization of New Biodegradable Fiber Humidity Control Materials." Fiber humidity control boards innovated the traditional concept of "drying" into "humidity control," further expanding market application areas.
In 2010, to comply with EU green policies, a cobalt-free series of moisture-proof complementary products, "Humidity Indicator Cards," was developed and has been widely used in the packaging of electronic products.
In 2011, the company became a Fudan University industry-university-research base, and the "Industrialization of Multifunctional Fiber Adsorption and Desorption Materials" project received approval from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology.
In 2011, for ocean container shipping, the company developed super-absorbent and anti-reverse osmosis materials based on polymer materials. Their superior moisture absorption and moisture retention safety performance are at a world-leading level. "Haiyunbao" and "hyperdry" are registered trademarks for this series of products.
In 2011, for coal mine rescue systems, the company specifically developed desiccants for rescue cabins and refuge chambers, applied for multiple patents, and simultaneously registered the trademarks "Jiushengbao" and "helperdry."
In recent years, household moisture-proof products have been successively launched, striving to establish a "brand" in the civilian market. The company will also develop multi-functional moisture-proof products that are anti-mold and anti-moth.
