(1) Materials: two plastic cups, a piece of fiber paper with good air permeability and hardness, an unopened package of desiccant sample

(2) Fill a cup with hot boiling water, place it on a flat surface, and place the white paper on the cup (the cup should not touch the water)

(3) Open a package of desiccant, take out a sample, weigh it, and record the weight M1 of the desiccant before moisture absorption.

(4) Place the desiccant on the fiber paper and quickly cover it with another cup to maintain a sealed environment.

(5) At 12h, 24h, 36h, 48h, etc., record the weight M2 of the desiccant respectively. (Wipe off the water droplets on the surface of the desiccant to ensure accurate data)

(6) Use (M2-M1)/M1*100% to obtain the moisture absorption rate of the desiccant at different times.

(7) Continue to observe until the weight of the desiccant no longer increases, and the maximum moisture absorption rate of the desiccant is obtained.

If the sample of the desiccant is too large, a plastic sealed box (food preservation box can be used), a small bowl, and a wire mesh that can bear the weight (plastic bowl, breathable white paper can be used) can be used to simulate the sealed environment required for desiccant moisture absorption;

Note: If you need to measure the desiccant moisture absorption rate in a short time, you can replace the hot boiling water after the water in the cup cools down. The purpose of using hot boiling water is to make the water vapor evaporate quickly, so that the desiccant can reach saturation in a short time.
