Calcium oxide desiccant is what everyone commonly refers to as lime moisture-proof agent; lime is produced by calcining raw materials with high calcium carbonate content, such as limestone, dolomite, chalk, and shells, at 900-1100°C. Lime is one of the earliest cementing materials used by humans; an air-hardening inorganic cementing material with calcium oxide as its main component. Lime includes quicklime and slaked lime (i.e., hydrated lime), and according to its magnesium oxide content (limited to 5%), it can be further divided into calcitic lime and magnesia lime.

Calcium oxide desiccant is commonly known as lime desiccant; lime is made from limestone, dolomite, chalk, shells and other raw materials with high calcium carbonate content, which are calcined at 900~1100℃. Lime is one of the earliest used cementitious materials; a type of air-setting inorganic cementitious material with calcium oxide as its main component. Lime includes quicklime and slaked lime (hydrated lime), and according to its magnesium oxide content (limited to 5%), it can be divided into calcareous lime and magnesian lime.

The main component of quicklime desiccant is calcium oxide, and its water absorption capacity is achieved through chemical reaction, so the water absorption is irreversible. Regardless of the ambient humidity, it can maintain a moisture absorption capacity greater than 35% of its own weight, making it more suitable for low-temperature storage, with good drying and moisture absorption effects, and a relatively low price.

Environmentally friendly desiccants can be widely used in the food, clothing, tea, leather, footwear, and electrical appliance industries.
