There are currently five main types of desiccants in the industry ： 　　

1) Silica gel desiccant - The main component is silicon dioxide, made from purified natural minerals into granular or bead-like shapes. As a desiccant, its microporous structure (average 2A) has a good affinity for water molecules. Silica gel is most suitable for humid environments at room temperature (20~32℃) and high humidity (60~90%), and it can reduce the relative humidity of the environment to around 40%.

2) Clay desiccant (montmorillonite) - Appears as gray small balls, most suitable for moisture absorption below 50℃. When the temperature is above 50℃, the clay's "water release" is greater than its "water absorption". However, the advantage of clay is its low price.

3) Molecular sieve desiccant - This is an artificially synthesized desiccant with strong adsorption capacity for water molecules. The pore size of the molecular sieve can be controlled by different processing methods. In addition to adsorbing water vapor, it can also adsorb other gases. It can still hold water molecules well at high temperatures above 230℃. Advantages: strong adaptability. Disadvantages: low moisture absorption rate, poor environmental protection (non-degradable).

4) Mineral desiccant - Hengyuan Mineral desiccant It is composed of several natural minerals and appears as grayish-white small balls. It is non-toxic and harmless, and is a biodegradable, environmentally friendly desiccant. The moisture absorption rate is over 50%, twice that of ordinary silica gel.

5) Fiber desiccant - Hengyuan fiber desiccant is made from pure natural plant fibers through a special process. Especially the film-coated fiber desiccant sheets are convenient and practical, and do not take up space. Its moisture absorption capacity reaches 100% of its own weight, which is unmatched by ordinary desiccants. In addition, this product is safe and hygienic, and reasonably priced, making it an ideal choice for many biological, health food, and pharmaceutical products.
