On June 19th, entrepreneurs on Chongming Island gathered together. What happened?

It turns out that the Shanghai Chongming Fusheng Chuangzhi Park held a Lean Benchmark Factory Launch Conference. Our Hengyuan Polymer became a benchmark enterprise for lean management, and park leaders and fellow enterprises gave their praise.

This conference, themed "Breaking the Impossible," focused on how enterprises can achieve lean management and refined operations through "talent cultivation," "cost reduction and efficiency improvement," and "process optimization," thereby improving overall efficiency.

The conference was jointly hosted by Shanghai Chongming Fusheng Development Zone and Shanghai Hengyuan Polymer Materials Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Chongming Enterprise Federation. Over 50 well-known enterprises from the Fusheng Development Zone and Chongming Enterprise Federation participated in the exchange.

From unidirectional fiber desiccants to bidirectional precision humidity control products, it has focused on the research and development of products, technologies, and solutions related to "humidity" for nearly 20 years.

At the conference, Dr. Shen Yuehua, the founder, shared the company's transformation journey to becoming a lean benchmark factory, from the challenges encountered in operational management to how it gradually implemented lean management, mobilized the enthusiasm of all employees, reduced costs and increased efficiency, and achieved a leap in business.

As an innovator and pioneer in the humidity management industry, Hengyuan Polymer holds multiple invention patents that have reached the international forefront. It participates in the formulation of humidity management standards in many fields, including innovative building materials for archives, industry, tobacco, medicine, biology, communications, and electronics.

Hengyuan Polymer is a Shanghai high-tech enterprise and a Fudan University industry-academia-research base. It has received the Shanghai Innovation Fund and has been recognized as a national 863 project for technological transformation, a national forestry administration science and technology promotion project, and a Shanghai high-tech achievement transformation project. As a mentoring enterprise for lean management, Mr. Fang Zhi, founder of Shanghai Jianshan Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd., elaborated on the current pain points of manufacturing enterprises and, combining practical enterprise cases, explained lean management methods such as 5S, equipment, production cycle time, quality, inventory control, and visualization. He provided solutions and practical methods for the implementation of digital factories and upgrading and transformation, pointing out the direction for entrepreneurs to achieve lean and intelligent overtaking.

Subsequently, representatives from the participating enterprises visited the Hengyuan Polymer lean benchmark factory and production line, truly experiencing the enthusiasm of employees actively participating in the transformation and the results of cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
